Musical objects (2025)
ISSUE DATE: Jan 27, 2025
ESSENTIALS:
The album is the collection of a set of musical objects written during the last 40 years, as I systematically records every musical object at the CREATION phase. All these recordings are archived and dated. They represent in a way some ‘flashbacks’ in a lifetime. The original recordings are now published on line to let you better enjoy the original feeling that inspired the song parts
During the PRODUCTION phase one or more musical objects are ‘combined’ together and recorder, after an accurate sound design. The 12 songs have been produced in 12 month, from September 2023 to August 2024. They were totally digitally produced using Steinberg DAWs Cubase and Nuendo. The sound design has been mainly focused on the piano sounds, as the original musical objects were mainly composed using piano sounds. The only ‘non-digital’ sounds, when needed, have been performed using a 1991 Fender Stratocaster and a 2006 Fender Jazz Bass
I MIXED
the Album in Ondebo Studios (my home studio located 'on the border' between two Countries...) taking advantage of immersive-music based technology. The album was originally mixed in Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 as the dynamic ‘location’ of the sounds in the space is, for me, an essential parameter of the creation process. Please consider, if possible for you, the opportunity of listening to Dolby Atmos original mixes, that can be streamed through the enabled Platforms (Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, etc...).
For streaming on the other 'non Dolby Atoms compliant' streaming platforms (i.e. Spotify) every song has the been REMIXED and MASTERED in Stereo, trying to recall the original sound spatialization. That was done to grant the best possible fruition with actual technology
From a DISTRIBUTION point of view, the album has been delivered through all the most important platforms. No physical support production is forecast at the time (not excluded in the future, I'd be glad to share your opinion about that)
